Shipping weights

So that wp2print can calculate accurate shipping costs, you will need to provide information about the weights of your printed products. The data needed for calculating weights differs for the different product types.

Fixed Size products

For fixed-size products, wp2print will display a matrix showing all the combinations of size and paper type for the product. In addition, wp2print will display a "Base quantity". For each field in the size and paper type matrix, you should enter in the weight for the Base Quantity of the product printed in that size and on that paper type.

The image above shows an example matrix for a Leaflet product. In this example, the Base Quantity = 1000. In the matrix cell for Size = A4 and Paper type = 120gsm Gloss, you can see the weight of 14 configured. This indicates that 1000 A4-sized leaflets printed on 120gsm Gloss paper weighs 14.

If the customer had ordered 500 leaflets, half of the base quantity, wp2print would calculate the weight as 14/2 = 7. If the customer had ordered 2000 leaflets, twice the base quantity, wp2print would calculate the weight as 2*14 = 28.

Area-based products

For area-based products, wp2print will display a matrix showing the different paper types configured for the product. For each of the different paper types, you should enter the unit weight measured in the units displayed to the right of the field:

wp2print will calculate the Total printed area for the banner or poster the customer is ordering. wp2print will calculate the total weight of the printed material using the Total printed area and the unit weight you have configured.
